  • Apavisa, a Tile of Spain–branded manufacturer, developed the Limestone collection of ventilated façades as a multifunctional tile product suitable for floors, walls, interiors, and horizontal and vertical exterior surfaces. According to the company, the porcelain tiles are two-and-a-half times more resistant to the elements than granite and four to five times more than marble. The frost-resistant material also maintains a low +/-0.02 percent water absorption. The tiles are cut with a nonbeveled edge and at a uniform size for tighter grout joints and compatibility with other Apavisa series and Limestone colors, which include marfil, beige, siena, gris, and grafito. - spaintiles.info

The new energy- and daylight-saving mesh shading system reduces solar heat gain and cooling costs, while still allowing enough daylight to minimize the use of electric lighting. Each system is custom designed, using different patterns and opacities of mesh to minimize heat gain on east and west-facing façades. The Solucent system is also available as a solar canopy or interior wall treatment. - cambridgesolucent.com
