[Products] Petersen Aluminum, Elk Grove Village, Ill., manufactured 16,000 square feet (1486 m2) of PAC-CLAD Snap-Clad roofing panels, snap-on batten wall panels, PAC-850 half vent soffit and flatstock finished in weathered zinc and colonial red.
[Fine Points] The new 10,000-square-foot (929-m2) facility was designed to be the Convention and Visitors Bureau for Winchester, as well as home to Shenandoah University’s curriculum of tourism and economic development. To integrate the building with its historic surroundings, a material palette grounded in the regional landscape was developed. In addition to the metal, the design uses fieldstone, concrete block and glass.
